2011 Census

2011 Census statistics provide a rich source of information about the number, distribution and characteristics of the population in England and Wales as at census day (27 March 2011). This release provides the first Local Characteristics tables from the census on the topics of ethnicity, identity, language and religion. Local Characteristics are cross tabulations of two or more census topics that provide the greatest level of detail possible for local areas.
