Private Fostering

The private fostering returns also known as Private Fostering is a Local Authority level aggregate data collection which collects the number of notifications and new private fostering arrangements in England. It also collects information on actions carried out by the local authority in accordance with the requirements for carrying out visits under the Children Private Arrangements for Fostering Regulations 2005. A return is required from all local authorities in England, even those who have no children under private fostering arrangements. Private Fostering is an annual data collection carried out in April covering the previous Financial Year.
