River flow data measured every 15 minutes at the Wye at Cefn Brwyn site. The data spans from 1968 to 2008. The units are m3/s. The station is registered within the National River Flow Archive as 55008. The gauge is a compound Crump weir with divide piers, and replaced an earlier structure. The catchment encompasses the headwaters of the River Wye and has an area of 10.6 km2. The catchment is unforested moorland and has steep gradients, and high rainfall (approximately 2500mm). The geology is Silurian slates and shales.
